People don't need new communication skills.
They need to better access what they already possess.
Most people hear the word sales and think business. I hear the word sales and think communication.
Sales is Sales™ because people are people, and communication is at the heart of every interaction. Doesn’t matter what you’re selling. An idea? Your vision? A product? Yourself on a first date? Yeah, that too. If you’ve ever had to get someone on board with anything at all, this is for you.
Let me explain.
There are two parts to influencing people. The first part is recognizing the common denominators of human behavior. It’s knowing the cues, reading between the lines, paying attention to body language, recognizing subtle shifts, and understanding what motivates people.
The second part of the equation...and most important as far as I’m concerned...is understanding who you truly are, accessing the strengths you already possess, and learning how to use them with intention in any conversation, anywhere.
Learning someone else’s techniques, tactics, or formulas may help in the short term. But lasting confidence and authentic communication don’t come from someone else’s playbook. They come from discovering, developing, and trusting what’s already within you, because the most influential communicator in the room isn’t the one with the best script, it’s the one people genuinely believe.
That’s why I created the YOUR™ Principle: Your Own Untapped Resources™.
You don’t need a new personality. You need the right tools to use the one you already have.
What is...
Y.O.U.R. Method?
Your Own Untapped Resources™ is a communication and confidence‑building method that teaches clients to stop outsourcing their power and instead activate the strengths, experiences, and instincts they already possess.
It reframes growth as an internal excavation rather than an external search, because everything you need to communicate with clarity, authority, and impact is already within you.
This method guides you to identify, refine, and elevate those inner assets so you can show up in any room, any conversation, and any opportunity with grounded confidence and unmistakable presence.
Your
"Your" is the identity anchor of the method. It represents the voice you bring into every room, shaped by your lived experience, cultural background, values, and worldview.
This piece centers the idea that communication begins with who you are, not who you’re trying to imitate. It’s the foundation of authenticity, clarity, and presence.
Own
"Own" highlights the internal source of your power : the strengths, instincts, and capabilities that originate within you. It’s about recognizing that your confidence comes from what you've already built into your character and your history.
This piece reinforces self‑trust and the idea that your communication power is self‑generated.
Untapped
"Untapped" focuses on the parts of you that haven’t been fully accessed yet: the insights, skills, and intuitive abilities that have been overlooked or underutilized.
This is the discovery zone, where clients uncover what they didn’t realize they had. It’s the space where breakthroughs happen because dormant strengths finally get activated.
Resources
Resources are the internal tool belt you draw from, and actively build, to communicate, influence, and sell effectively. Your tool belt includes capacities like emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, resilience, and the communication habits shaped by your lived experience.
Most people have a few of these tools in place, but rarely the full set. And often, the tools that create the greatest impact are the very ones that have received the least attention and haven't been sharpened in a long time, if ever.
This section helps clients see what’s already in their tool belt, what’s missing, and how to strengthen each piece so they can express their value clearly, build genuine connection, and navigate sales or other conversations with clarity and confidence.
Alefiyah is an exceptionally talented sales professional who quickly distinguished herself in a highly competitive B2C environment. She demonstrated a natural ability to connect with customers, establish common ground, and build trust—an essential skill in door-to-door sales. Her strong interpersonal skills, combined with her confidence and intuition, allowed her to identify buying signals early and convert opportunities into successful sales.

Alefiyah is high energy and radiates that "get 'er done" flow that gives you confidence from the get-go. She has the capability to back up that up and is one of the rare people who can manage complex projects while also showing up with a lot of emotional intelligence. I've witnessed her handle loads of details, read a room, juggle deadlines, and pivot during crises without losing her cool (or her sense of humor). She's really smart and eager to share her knowledge, and was one of the people who helped me get my grounding when I was new in my role. She's as generous as she is effective and always willing to make connections, using her influence and expertise to help friends, clients, and colleagues alike. A real pro with a big heart and an incredible capacity to get things done.

I remember one panel she participated in where she spoke about public speaking and professional presence. Afterward, several attendees approached her asking for advice on how to become stronger speakers themselves. That moment spoke volumes about Alefiyah’s impact—people naturally gravitate to her insight and encouragement. It wasn’t long before she was leading confidence-building and presentation workshops for the Academy, helping emerging professionals strengthen their communication skills and advance in their careers.

Taking her confidence building workshop helped me better identify what I wanted to improve upon. She helped me build a unique road map to follow that helped me in both my personal and professional life. Her unique one-on-one approach is incredibly valuable for anyone looking for a positive, uplifting and forward thinking approach to boosting your confidence and becoming the person you want to become.

I just wanted to take the time to thank you for the seminar. It was worth waking up early to take the train, getting off at the wrong exit from the bus and having to walk four blocks. I know my roommate is very grateful for the experience as well, and I'm very happy about that. I will take everything that you said that day and keep replaying it in my head, so when the negative thoughts come, I have something to fight them with. Thank you so much for all that you do, you really are inspiring and I hope that doesn't come off corny because it's true. A woman of color who's been through hell and back and is still fighting everyday and is a boss woman...that's incredible and makes me want to stop moping about my insecurities and get into action. So thank you once again. Keep being the amazing woman that you are.
From the bottom of my heart once again, thank you.

She creates an environment where individuals feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to step outside of their comfort zones. Her coaching style is both practical and uplifting—she doesn’t just offer advice; she actively guides people toward discovering their own strengths. I’ve seen students, young professionals, and even seasoned individuals walk away from her sessions with a renewed sense of confidence and clarity.

I was a bit skeptical to take Alefiyah’s confidence building seminar, normally I think that these kinds of seminars are just a bunch of nonsense. Quick fixes that will lead to a more successful life but never actually work. But Alefiyah’s approach was not a quick fix, she helped me understand what about myself was holding me back from what I want. I’m not where I need to be yet, but her seminar helped me understand the steps I need to take. Her energy and relatability were infectious. If she were selling a cult, I probably would have joined that day.

The discussion I had with Alefiyah left me in tears with the most liberating feeling I have had after being sexually abused in my teenage years. She helped me realize that this is more common within the community, it was not me, and most importantly that within the South Asian community this is not a topic that is openly discussed. To have met someone who was of a similar background and a female wanting to speak about it with me without assuming or being judgemental helped me take a monkey off my back that I had been carrying around for years unknowingly! Thank You Alefiyah!

About
Alefiyah Master, CEO and Founder
Hi, I’m Alefiyah. Like “a leaf on a tree.”
I am a Communication Strategist and founder of Sales Is Sales™, a platform focused on helping people create opportunities, strengthen relationships, communicate more effectively, and show up with greater confidence.
Throughout my 35+ year career spanning business, sales, and television production, I’ve had countless people ask me how I said what I did, or what I said to convince someone to do what I asked. I’ve heard the adjectives “brave,” “bold,” “direct,” and “confident” used to describe me. At one point, I even had friends who wanted to create an app called, "What Would Alefiyah Say?" That one was my favorite.
What I’ve always told them is this: whether in business or life, success often comes down to understanding the other person and finding the right words to create connection, build trust and achieve the outcome you’re looking for.
I’ve led teams ranging from a handful of people to thousands, managed budgets, built client and talent relationships, set domestic and international sales records, taught confidence-building seminars for the Television Academy, and received two Emmy nominations.
Along the way, I’ve been promoted more often than I’ve stood still. I earned three promotions in two years at Weigel Broadcasting, three promotions in three years at Tribune Media, and multiple promotions throughout my career in general, including leadership roles at American Airlines and Executive Producer positions in audio post-production.
I’m very worldly. I’ll happily book a solo trip across the world, navigate a foreign country, and strike up a conversation with complete strangers - made some life-long friends that way. I’ve traveled to six continents, visited countless countries, and speak four languages.
All these experiences reinforced something I’ve seen throughout my life: confidence isn’t something you’re born with. It’s something you build.
I don’t believe it’s ever too late to get what you want, but the opportunities you want rarely come from staying silent. They come from learning how to use your voice.
